PACT x Daler-Rowney

I would like to give a huge thank you to Daler-Rowney for supplying our charity with a pallet of art supplies. My name is Steve Rodgers, and I work for PACT (Parents And Children Together), an adoption and trauma support charity based in Reading. The connection between art and healing is so powerful and it has been wonderful to see our service users so engaged. I am delighted to share with you some of the results of their creativity. The below quotes are from senior staff members who work in our Alana House team, a women-only centre which supports and empowers women, and our Adoptee Voices programme, a space for young people to safely discuss their personal or significant experiences. Earlier this year they ran a session titled ‘Express Yourself Through Art’, made possible thanks to Daler-Rowney.

Thank you on behalf of all of us from PACT.

‘The generous donation of art supplies has been truly beneficial for Alana House. These materials have enabled a service user to create a beautiful painting, brought joy through Halloween decorations, provided therapeutic support during our Healing Trauma group sessions, and added festive cheer to our Christmas celebrations. We are very grateful for your contribution.’ – PACT’s Administrative Lead and Volunteer Co-ordinator

‘It was wonderful for the young people who attended this group to have the opportunity to use a wide variety of professional grade art supplies to be able to create special works of art they could be proud of. Having access to enough of these kinds of supplies sends a strong message that they are important and worthwhile as is the art they create.’ – A PACT Senior Social Worker
